The event\ntook place within the framework of the company\u2019s participation in Conxemar, the\ninternational fair on frozen seafood products which is held this week in Vigo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These Fishing and Aquaculture policies adopt the principles of the\nFAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries by committing to conservation and\nsustainable use of natural resources, as well as certification and regulatory\ncompliance. Among other things, these documents include the key measures of the\nGroup to fight against illegal fishing or contamination of the marine\nenvironment, and what its premises are in matters of sustainable aquaculture or\nanimal well-being. In addition, they establish the bases in connection to labor\nresponsibility, biodiversity and circular economics in fishery byproducts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the signing of this Development Aid and Cooperation policy,\nthe Group&#8217;s commitment to the communities in which it operates, including their\ndevelopment through job creation, is also established, through the creation of\neducation, support, care of the natural environment, and humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In line with its commitment to sustainable development, this year\nthe stand of Grupo Nueva Pescanova at the fair is presided over by a noteworthy\nlarge label which presents the sustainability program <em>Pescanova Blue<\/em>.\nThis program is the company&#8217;s operational response to the four strategic\npillars that make up its Corporate Social Responsibility plan: Planet, People,\nProduct and Communities. In this way, <em>Pescanova Blue<\/em> includes the set of\ninitiatives designed to conduct and document the Group\u2019s responsible action on\nmatters of supply and responsible operations, labor relations, contribution to\nthe community, and compliance with ethical and legal requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is also committed to the Sustainable Development Goals\n(SDGs), which it incorporates in all its activities: fishing, aquaculture,\nprocessing, and marketing of seafood products in all the countries where it is\npresent and currently it has a total of 226 sustainable
