Javier Carral, Jos\u00e9 Fafi\u00e1n and Marco Nieto complete\nthe corporate governance body.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Vigo, 13 April 2020<\/em><\/strong>.- The Board of Directors of the Nueva\nPescanova Group, at the meeting held this morning, after the appointment of its\nnew members by the General meeting of Partner, has unanimously resolved to\nelect Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Benavent as executive chairman of the Company. The Board also\ndecided to renew its confidence in Ignacio Gonz\u00e1lez as Managing Director (CEO),\na position he has served since February &nbsp;2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Benavent is a director\nand member of the Audit, Control and Finance Committee of Nueva Pescanova since\nJune 2019. He Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Benavent Valero holds a degree in Economic and\nBusiness Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, an Executive\nDevelopment Program (PDD) of IESE, and an Advanced Management Program (AMP) of\nMIT Business School, Cambridge, MA, USA. Benavent started his professional career\nin 1989 in the Bank of Spain. Since 1994 he has hold management positions in Caixabank,\nTelco, R-Cable, and Euskaltel, in the latter he was the CFO. Since 2018, Since\n2018, Benavent is an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of ABANCA\nServicios Financieros and a member of its Audit and Risk Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Benavent and Ignacio Gonz\u00e1lez, together with the rest of the\nmembers of the Board, executives, managers and employees of the Nueva Pescanova\nGroup take on the challenge of strengthening the financial and commercial\nstructure of the company, and consolidating this fishing, aquaculture,\nprocessing and commercial company as a reference of the seafood sector globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new directors have shown their appreciation for the work, over the\nlast four years, of the outgoing Board and, in particular, to the former\nChairman, Jacobo Gonz\u00e1lez-Robatto, for his contribution to the viability of the\ncompany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COMPOSITION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CHAIRMAN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jos\u00e9\nMar\u00eda Benavent Valero<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda holds a degree in Economic and Business Sciences of the\nComplutense University of Madrid, an Executive Development Program (PDD) of\nIESE, and an Advanced Management Program (AMP) of MIT Business School,\nCambridge, MA, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benavent began his professional career in 1989 as analyst at the\nresearch department of the Bank of Spain until he joined Caixabank in 1994,\nwhere he held different positions in the risks department until becoming the\nhead of that department. In 1998, and after the liberalization of the\nTelecommunications Sector in Spain, he was asked to take part in the launching\nof a Telco company, R-Cable, he was its CFO until 2015, year in which he moved,\nalso as CFO, to another company in this sector, the Euskaltel Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benavent has received the Best CFO Award of the VI edition of the\nFinancial Excellence Awards of the Spanish Finance Professionals Association\n(ASSET).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2018, Benavent is an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of ABANCA Servicios Financieros and a member of its Audit and Risk Committee, a position he combines, since June 2019, with being a Director of Nueva Pescanova SL and a member of the Board\u2019s Audit, Control and Finance Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DIRECTORS:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Javier Carral<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Javier holds a degree in Economics and\nBusiness Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid and an MBA of Huston\nUniversity (USA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His professional career started in Banesto\nMercado de Capitales. In 1994 he joined HSBC bank where he work in different\ndivisions Treasury and Capital Markets, Private Banking, ending this period as\nPresident of HSBC Gesti\u00f3n SGIIC HSBC Gesti\u00f3n SGIIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2000 he joined Caixa Galicia, where he\nheld different responsibility positions: Director General of GesCaixa Galicia\nSGECR,&nbsp;Director of Financial Centres, Investments Director and Managing\nDirector of Corporaci\u00f3n Industrial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2014, he is the Director of ABANCA\u2019s\nInvestee Companies. He has been member of different boards of directors like\nItinere Infraestructuras, R Cable, Cafento, Pl\u00e1sticos Ferro, Gas Galicia,\nDinak, Cupa Group, Norvento, Continental Group, Helena Activos L\u00edquidos, Vigo\nActivo SCR, Sodiga SGECR, Chairman of Espacios Termol\u00fadicos and Vice-president of\nTecnocom. He has also been member of the advisory boards of Unirisco, I+D\nUnifondo, Baring Iberia and Diana Capital. At present he represents ABANCA in\nthe boards of directors of Caser, Sogevinus Fine Wines and Veralia Corporaci\u00f3n\nde Productoras de Cine y Televisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jos\u00e9 Fafi\u00e1n Seijo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 is an Industrial Technical Engineer having studied at the University of\nVigo. His professional career started as Organization Engineer in Brazil. He\njoined Pescanova in 1972, where he has had different responsibilities in\ndifferent areas, including Head of Delegations, Distribution Director, General\nManager of the companies Frigodis S.A. and Frivipesca Chapela S.A. and Director\nof Novaoceano, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Nueva Pescanova, between 2015 and 2016,\nhe was Head of Factory Businesses in Spain, Ireland and Peru and, since then,\nhe has been Director of Industrial Transformation and a member of the executive\ncommittee of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ignacio\nGonz\u00e1lez<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ignacio\nholds a Degree in Business Studies from ICADE. He started his professional\ncareer in Centros Comerciales Continente. After almost two decades working in\nthe Carrefour Group holding various positions in the Marketing, Purchasing and\nSales Departments, he joined the Global Executive Committee of the French\nmultinational company, taking the position of the Group\u2019s Purchasing Manager\nand Sales Manager in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\nsubsequently joined the Campofrio Group, where he held two top positions: CEO\nof Campofr\u00edo Spain and General Manager of Southern Europe (Spain, Italy,\nPortugal) &amp; USA of the Campofr\u00edo Food Group (from April 2013 to January\n2016), where he took over the cluster of Southern Europe and USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\nis also the President of ECOEMBES, a non-profit organization dedicated to\npackaging recycling, and Vice-president of AECOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marco Nieto <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marco\nNieto holds a Degree in Business Administration of the University of Wales. He\nholds several Master\u2019s degrees in Stock Markets and Financial Derivatives of\nthe FUE-UNED, in Administration and Management of International Businesses of\nthe Escuela de Negocios Caixanova and a Specialized Master\u2019s in Philosophy\ndegree in Business Organization of the University of Vigo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nieto\nMontero has followed his career in the banking sector where he has held\ndifferent management positions. Thus, in 1999 he joined Caixanova\u2019s team, as\nmarkets and&nbsp;&nbsp; financial analyst, in 2007\nhe was appointed Expansion Credit Risk Analysis Manager and in 2009 Credit Risk\nAnalysis Manager. After the merger with Caixa Galicia in 2010, he became head\nof the of Credit Risk Control Department of Novacaixagalicia and, with the\nconversion into a bank in 2011 under the name NCG Banco, he was appointed\nCredit Risk Control and Monitoring Manager. Since 2014 he has been Credit\nTracking Manager at ABANCA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\naddition, and representing ABANCA, he is a member of the Boards of Directors of\nSociedad de Garant\u00eda Rec\u00edproca de las Provincias de Pontevedra y Ourense\n(SOGARPO), of Sociedad de Garant\u00eda Rec\u00edproca de las Provincias de Coru\u00f1a y Lugo\n(AFIGAL), and the Venture Capital Company SODIGA SCR. In June 2019 he joined\nthe Board of Directors of Nueva Pescanova SL as the representative of the\nmember of the Board Corporaci\u00f3n Empresarial y Financiera de Galicia
