The Nueva Pescanova Group adheres to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)

  • The company is committed to promoting gender equality in the workplace and in the communities where it operates.
  • It carries out more than 50 CSR actions aimed at SDG 5 on Gender Equality.

Vigo, 8th March 2022 – The Nueva Pescanova Group, coinciding with the celebration of International Women’s Day, has announced its adherence to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a set of seven principles to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, the market and the community.

In this way, the Nueva Pescanova Group takes another step forward in its commitment to promote real and effective equality in the Group, where it has initiated an evaluation process to identify strong points and areas for improvement in order to strengthen women’s leadership and talent, as well as to promote the presence of women in positions of responsibility.  Currently, the company contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 5 with more than 50 CSR actions aimed at achieving this goal in the different communities in which it is present.
